PhD in Public Health from the University of Alicante, Bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Alicante, Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Technology and Professional Specialist Certificate in Food Technology from the Polytechnic University of Valencia. At present, she is a Lecturer in Nutrition at University of Alicante.
Her teaching activity is developed in the field of food and nutrition education in the Degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics and in the University Master's Degree in Nutrition and Food, of which she has been Director for 4 years.
She's deputy editor of the journal Áreas. Revista Internacional de Ciencias Sociales, published by the Publications Service of the University of Murcia, which has the FECYT quality seal and is included in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) of Thomson Reuters.
He received the Manuel Castillo 2022 Award from the University of Valencia in the category of university research monograp, the Extraordinary Doctorate Prize in 2015 and the Academic Career Award at the IV Gala de la Salud de la Unión Profesional Sanitaria de Alicante in 2013.
He has carried out research stays in various prestigious national and international centres, such as the University of Barcelona, Università degli Studi di Sassari and the University of Oxford. In the latter thanks to a José Castillejo mobility grant for young doctors from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport.
She has been President of the Deontological Commission of the General Council of Dietitians-Nutritionists of Spain (2013-2016) and of the Scientific Committee of the Spanish Foundation of Dietitians-Nutritionists (2014-2016).
She is a full member of the Spanish Academy of Human Nutrition and Dietetics and a member of several scientific societies.
She is a member of the Expert Panel for Scientific and Technical Support of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA).
