Carlos Villagrá is a professor at the University of Alicante, and he belongs to the department of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence since 1999. Second-cycle undergraduate degree in Computer Science from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (1994) and PhD in Computer Engineering from the University of Alicante (2016). PhD Special Award (programme in Computer Engineering and Computing, 2018/19 call). Researcher of the Research Group Smart Learning: Intelligent Technologies for Learning. He is a member of AENUI (Association of University Lecturers in Computer Science) and the Santander-UA Research Chair in Digitisation. He teaches in the undergraduate degrees in Computer Engineering and Multimedia Engineering. In the latter he was head of studies from 2010/11 to 2012/13 and has coordinated the Digital Creation and Entertainment pathway, which is taught in the 4th year, since 2013/14. His research work focuses on the areas of Artificial Intelligence and the application of video games in the field of education.
