Paula Salguero Soto holds a degree in Translation and Interpreting and specializes in institutional translation (Universidad de Alicante), as well as in audiovisual translation and video game localization (Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona).
She currently works as a lecturer in the Department of English Studies at the University of Alicante, where she combines her teaching duties with research activity. Since 2025, she has also been enrolled in the PhD programme in "Traducción y Paratraducción" at the University of Vigo and is a member of the Digital Language Learning (DL2) research group at the University of Alicante. Her research focuses on video game localization and industry workflows.
Since 2022, she has been part of the in-house linguist team at Keywords Studios Spain, where she manages Spanish-language content for internationally renowned companies and developers. Her areas of expertise include the translation and revision of both in-game and around game content, quality assurance, terminology and translation memory management, as well as subtitling and dubbing.
