Carlos Quesada is an assistant lecturer at the University of Alicante. He holds a degree in Telecommunication Engineering from the Miguel Hernández University of Elche and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Zaragoza (awarded with distinction and international mention). His work focuses on applied data science and machine learning. He has carried out research in several centers (Institute of Neurosciences of Alicante, DeustoTech) and at national (UMH, Zaragoza, Deusto) and international universities (École Centrale Nantes, Université de Technologie de Compiègne), applying these methods to challenges in the biomedical domain (surgical simulation, microcapsule modelling, biomedical imaging) and, in recent years, also in the energy sector.
