Covadonga Ordóñez García holds a Degree and a PhD in Economics from the University of Alicante, where she has been engaged in teaching and research for more than twenty years. Her academic career has focused on tourism economics, labour market analysis, sustainability, and equal opportunities, with particular attention to employment dynamics, migration studies, and gender perspectives.

She has taught in several undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the fields of Tourism Economics, International Economics, and Sustainable Development. She has also participated in national and international research projects, educational innovation initiatives, and knowledge transfer activities.

Her current research interests include the sustainability of tourism and food systems, territorial development, the valorisation of gastronomic and cultural heritage, the blue economy, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), adopting an interdisciplinary approach aimed at generating social and territorial impact.

In parallel, she has developed extensive experience in university management and internationalisation. For more than two decades, she has been affiliated with the University of Alicante Language Centre, where she has contributed to mobility programmes, international academic cooperation, event management, and the promotion of multilingualism.
