I hold a BSc in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Alicante, complemented by an MSc in Public Health (Miguel Hernández University) and an MSc in Human Nutrition and Food Quality (University of the Balearic Islands), where I specialized in advanced research methodologies.

This academic foundation facilitated my integration into an interdisciplinary research team within the Preventive Medicine and Public Health area at the University of Alicante. During this tenure, I contributed to the European PolMark project, focusing on food and beverage advertising policies targeting children, and collaborated with the Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (AESAN) on the epidemiology of obesity and the evaluation of preventive public health policies.

Concurrently, I began providing nutritional counseling and anthropometric assessments for the Triathlon Performance Program at the University of Alicante, extending this expertise to various elite athletic groups. In collaboration with the program director and the CEBAS-CSIC (University of Murcia), I participated in a metabolomic study investigating the impact of polyphenol-rich functional juices on professional athletes.

I subsequently developed my doctoral thesis, titled "Dietary-Nutritional Assessment in Endurance Sports and Characterization of Ergonutritional Supplements," while balancing my duties as an Associate Professor and clinical dietitian-nutritionist at the University of Alicante’s Food and Nutrition Unit (ALINUA).

Driven by a commitment to continuous professional development, I have completed extensive advanced training in nutrition, anthropometry, and sports science, and have played a key role in organizing numerous national and international conferences. These experiences have fostered my skills in project coordination, scientific creativity, and collaborative leadership.

Currently, I serve as an Associate Professor (Profesor Titular) in the Department of Nursing at the University of Alicante. In collaboration with peer researchers, I have established several research streams centered on the intersection of nutrition, anthropometry, and public health in sports.

In recent years, I have spearheaded the creation of the Dietetics applied to Sport research line within the Research group in Applied Dietetics, Nutrition and Body Composition (DANUC) at the University of Alicante. Furthermore, I have designed and implemented a specialized framework for Undergraduate Dissertations (TFG) focusing on dietary-nutritional planning and analysis, specifically tailored for students of Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Nursing, and Physical Activity and Sports Sciences.
