PhD in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Alicante and the University of Valladolid (2021), with a thesis on non-sexist translation. She has completed a postgraduate course in gender research methodologies for the humanities and is currently studying a master's degree in gender, justice and society at the University of Umea (Sweden).

She has twenty years of professional experience as a freelance translator and sworn interpreter, with more than twenty books translated for a prestigious publishing house and six nine-year contracts as a specialised external translator (legal and financial) for the European Union. Previously, she was the editorial coordinator of a photography magazine for ten years and external contributor for six more years.

In 2017, she joined the Department of Translation and Interpreting at the University of Alicante, where she teaches undergraduate and Master's degree courses in institutional translation and is a study abroad coordinator. She has published numerous articles on gender and translation issues, including a study on inclusive language in the Spanish Constitution in a volume by the North American Academy of Language. She has been accredited by ANECA as a tenured lecturer since February 2022 and has carried out teaching stays in Poland, Ireland, France, Malta, Romania and Lithuania.

Her dissemination of research and knowledge transfer activities include communications at international conferences as a guest speaker for the European Commission and the Council of the European Union, dissemination talks organised in schools, high schools, town councils and feminist groups within La UA va al cole and Mujer y ciencia programmes, and the organisation of three consecutive stands on translation and gender at the European Research Night. In addition, she is co-director of the Literature and Translation programme of the University of Alicante, a member of the INCOGNITO group and coordinator of the international group on translation as intercultural dialogue (Lithuania-Spain-Poland) of ESTIDIA. She is a member of the research team of the CC-TRANS project on translation, critical thinking and creativity.
