Marcos Gómez-Puerta is a Senior Lecturer in the area of Didactics and School Organization (DOE) of the Department of General Didactics and Specific Didactics of the Faculty of Education of the University of Alicante.

Regarding his education, he has a degree in Educational Psychology by the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), University expert in diagnosis and education of students with high capacity (UNED), Master in management of the quality of organizations (Bureau Veritas), Master in training in teaching and research for higher education (UNED) and Master in educational innovation and evaluation of training programs (UNED). He received his doctorate from the University of Alicante in 2013, achieving the qualification of cum laude and the mention of international doctor thanks to a research stay at the University of Aberdeen (United Kingdom), granted by the Ministry of Education. He received the extraordinary Doctorate Award.

In the field of teaching, he has been a professor at the University of Alicante since 2009, teaching in Master subjects in teachers of compulsory secondary education, Bachelor of Psychopedagogy, Teaching degree, and Sports and Physical Activity Sciences. He has received recognition for teaching excellence in the 2019/20, 2020/21, 2021/22 and 2022/23 academic years (Program for the Evaluation of the Teaching Activity of University Professors).

Regarding research, he has an official research recognition called "tramo de investigación" (CNEAI). He has multiple publications in scientific journals, mostly derived from the research projects in which he has participated, belonging to calls from the University of Alicante, but also from regional, national and European calls. He has also been peer reviewer of several scientific journals and has been part of various organizing and scientific committees of conferences and congresses.
