Adelina Gómez González-Jover received her Degree in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Alicante in 1999 and gained her Doctorate in Translation in 2005 at the same University. She has studied Terminology and Applied Linguistics at the University Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona) and the Institute for Applied Language Studies (University of Edinburgh). She has also undertaken several research stays in Translation and Terminology institutions, such as the European Commission (Brussels and Luxemburg), the European Parliament (Luxemburg) or the Brooklyn Law School (New York). Her research interests are focused on specialized translation, English for specific purposes, terminology, lexicolography/terminography, new technologies and corpus studies. She has participated in several research projects in the aforesaid areas, and is currently working as a professor at the Department of Translation and Interpreting Studies at the University of Alicante, where she teaches both in graduate and postgraduate programmes.
