María Isabel Corbí Sáez is a university lecturer in the Department of Integrated Philology at the University of Alicante (area of ‿‿French Philology), having started her professional career at the University of Alicante in 1997. She specializes in French and Francophone literary studies. She has about fifty publications (many of them of international scope) and has presented communications and papers in some seventy international conferences both in the Spanish state and abroad. She is a member of the Humanism-Europe research group (University of Alicante) and the Littérature du XXe et XXIe siècle group (CELIS; Université d'Auvergne, Clermont-Ferrand, France) and she is coordinator of the research group Speeches, texts, contexts and interculturality in Francophone studies (ICLLIT, University of Alicante). Her research work covers several areas that should be noted: French literature (from the seventeenth century onwards, and in particular the precursor manifestations of modernity), comparative literature (relationship between French and Francophone literature with other literatures, French and Francophone literature  and other arts, literature and thought, literature and poetics of exile, among other areas), literature from a gender perspective (especially writers from the 18th century onwards), Research in university teaching (innovative teaching methodologies and EHEA). She has directed about twenty final degree and master's projects. She has been invited as a speaker at various European and North American universities, as well as within the framework of ERASMUS international mobility programs.
