Naima Benaicha Ziani is an Associate Professor in the ¿¿Arab and Islamic Studies department since 2010. Graduated in Translation and Interpreting (Arabic-English-Spanish) from the University of Oran, Algeria (1988), Graduated in Translation and Interpreting Arabic-English-Spanish , title approved by the Spanish Ministry of Education (2009), doctor in Modern Languages ¿¿and Literatures (2018) from the University of Alicante. She has been director of Revista Argelina since it has been founded (2015) until December 31th, 2019, and of several seminars on Arab culture. She is currently a member of the University Institute for Gender Studies Research (IUIEG) of the UA, a member of the Equality Unit of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the UA and a member of the "Laboratoire des Archives Cinématographiques" of the University of Oran 1. She has been visiting professor at the Abou Bakr Belkaid University of Tlemcen and Oran 1 (Algeria) 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. Co-director of the Permanent Seminar on Women and Gender in the Arab World.
