Vicent Vidal is a lecturer in Catalan Folk Literature and Catalan Children’s Literature at the University of Alicante. He obtained his PhD at the University of Alicante (UA) with a Special Award. He holds a degree in Catalan Studies (UA), a Master’s Degree in Language Consultancy and Literary Culture (University of Alicante / Universitat de València) and a Master’s Degree in Teacher Training (Miguel Hernández University). His research lines focus on oral folk literature. Based on this work, he has participated in many research projects and contributed articles to high-impact international journals. He has also authored books and book chapters published by prestigious presses and presented papers at international conferences and symposiums. His publications include the book Una història de la literatura popular valenciana (1873-2019) (Publicacions de l’Abadia de Montserrat, 2020) or his collaboration on A History of Catalan Folk Literature (John Benjamins Publishing Company, 2019).
