Associate Professor at the Department of Applied Economic Analysis at the University of Alicante. European PhD with the thesis "Gestión Integrada del Agua en la Comarca de la Marina Baja, Alicante", approved unanimously with Cum Laude, which received the extraordinary prize of Doctorate and the prize of the Valencian Parliament to one of the best theses published in 2009. She has carried out research stays at the School of Water Science, at Cranfield University (UK) and at CAZALAC, Regional Water Centre for Arid and Semi-Arid Zones of Latin America and the Caribbean, sponsored by UNESCO in La Serena (Chile).

Member of the Inter-University Institute of International Economics and of the University Institute of Tourism Research (IUIT) of the University of Alicante, as well as of the Research Groups "INNATUR" (Economics of Tourism, Natural Resources and New Technologies) and "Water Resources and Sustainable Development".

Since 2002, she has been a lecturer in tourism, international relations and business administration degrees and in postgraduate courses such as the Master in Sustainable Management and Water Technologies, the Master in Applied Economics and the Inter-University Master in International Development Cooperation.

His research areas include water resources management, water and natural resources economics, tourism economics, sustainable tourism and circular economy. He has published numerous papers in high impact journals such as Water, Water International, Water Security, Utilities Policy or Current Issues in Tourism. He has also participated in national and European projects on environment, water management and natural resources. To highlight "Multidisciplinary training in circular economy and intelligent valorization of the rural environment for new business models", or "Strategic tools to support adaptive and integrated management of natural resources under changing conditions of use at basin level: a co-evolutionary approach", both financed by the EU.

She is currently the Director of the Lifelong Learning Centre at the University of Alicante.
