Eduardo Sánchez García is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Organization at the University of Alicante (Spain) and is accredited as an Associate Professor by ANECA. He holds a PhD with International Distinction in Business, Economics and Society and received the Extraordinary Master’s and Doctoral Awards. He has completed 21 international research stays at Lublin University of Technology (2021, 2023 and 2024), Burgundy School of Business (2022 and 2023), Stellenbosch University (2023), RMIT University Vietnam (2024), University of Trieste (2024), East Kazakhstan Technical University (2024 and 2025), Jagiellonian University (2024 and 2025), Universidad de la República (2024), Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (2024 and 2025), Universidad Nacional de Cuyo (2024), Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez (2024), KEDGE Business School (2025), University of Bari Aldo Moro (2025 and 2026) and HEG-Genève (2026).

His research focuses on strategic management, international business, innovation, digital transformation and sustainable development. He has published more than 90 articles in international journals, 71 of which are indexed in Journal Citation Reports and 35 ranked in the first quartile. He is the author of books and chapters published by De Gruyter, Emerald, Palgrave Macmillan, Routledge and Springer. His work has received more than 3,400 citations and has an h-index of 35. He coordinates the research group Strategic Management, Knowledge and Innovation in a Global Economy (DECI-GLOBAL). He has participated in over 100 conferences, is co-founder of three scientific events on wine business management, wine tourism and sustainable regional development, and promoted the University of Alicante Wine Tourism Innovation Award.

He has participated in national and international competitive projects as principal investigator, coordinator or researcher. These include European Union-funded initiatives in innovation, sustainability, entrepreneurship and university cooperation, such as Transform4Europe, BIKE-HEI, SLEEK and RiTE. He has led eight knowledge-transfer contracts with companies and has eight years of professional experience in international logistics and foreign trade. His teaching experience includes Strategic Management, Operations Management, Principles of Economics, Business Creation and Human Resource Management in degree programmes in Business, Law, Tourism, Engineering and Gastronomy. At postgraduate and doctoral levels, he teaches innovation, leadership, entrepreneurship, interpersonal skills and strategic management.

He has supervised 24 bachelor’s and master’s theses and currently co-supervises five doctoral theses. Since 2018, his teaching has received an average score of 92.2 out of 100 in the DOCENTIA programme. He has completed eight Erasmus+ KA131 teaching stays in Finland (2022), Italy (2023), Poland (2023 and 2025, through three mobility periods), Colombia (2025), Taiwan (2025) and Mexico (2026), in addition to delivering international doctoral seminars. He is an external reviewer for the Swiss National Science Foundation, Associate Editor of the Journal of Foodservice Business Research and the Wine Business Journal, and has completed more than 480 verified reviews for journals indexed in Web of Science.
