After graduating from Miguel Hernández University in 2004, I started working at the university as a senior technician in career guidance and labour insertion for higher education graduates. This first experience was the perfect opportunity for me to engage into research-action work (fieldwork and first-hand experience) with a view to fostering employability among university graduates by enhancing their professional visibility and detecting their special talents, hidden potentials and strongest areas.

After that, I accepted the challenge of researching and acting on the variables that make it possible for the visually impaired and for those at high risk of social exclusion (such as political asylum seekers in Spain and terror victims) to join the job market. I did this in collaboration with ONCE (National Organization of Spanish Blind People) and the Spanish Red Cross.

Next, I coordinated projects to increase employment among people in my home town (San Vicente del Raspeig), and conducted research on methods to boost personal empowerment in small towns. I  was hired by the San Vicente del Raspeig Employment and Local Development Agency, and I worked together with a multidisciplinary team. Our efforts helped increase labour insertion and social intermediation to achieve corporate social responsibility.

One year ago I went back to full-time research, and I finished my Master's Degree in Educational Research. Thanks to the fact that I won the Special Postgraduate Award, I was granted a series of scholarhsips to conduct research stays in Moldova, Ukraine, and Romania (Universitatea Pedagogica de Stat "Ion Creanga", Universitatea de Stat din Moldavia, Universitatea Libera Internationala din Moldavia, Universitatea de Studii Politice si Economice Europene, Academia de Studii Economice din Moldavia, Universitatea din Bucureȿti, Universitatea de Vest din Timiȿoara and Taras Shevchenko University), as well as in Spain (University of the Balearic Islands), Argentina (Universidad Nacional Mar del Plata and UCAECE University in Mar del Plata and Buenos Aires), and Finland (University of Helsinki) during one year. Thanks to these stays, I completed my dissertation on the development of Emotional Intelligence as the key to acquiring skills in Higher Education, with a multi-method and cross-cultural approach.

On 20 December 2016 I defended my doctoral thesis and obtained a Cum Laude Distinction as well as the International PhD Endorsement. Now, I am a Developmental and Educational Psychology Professor and Researcherat the University of Alicante (SPAIN).
