Graduated in Geography in 1991, defends in 1994 the report of the degree "El poblamiento vegetal de las Sierras de Peñarroya y Cuartel" and in 1997 the doctoral thesis "Plant colonization in abandoned fields of cultivation in the province of Alicante"

Professor at the University since 2002, she carries out her teaching and research tasks in the Department of Regional Geographic Analysis and Physical Geography and the Interuniversity Institute of Geography of the University of Alicante.

Since 2006, she has been part of the research group of the University of Alicante: Medspai, of which she is currently the director. Within this team, he has collaborated in R + D + I projects, as well as made publications in national and international journals and conferences on characterization, protection and conservation of plant formations and rare, endemic or threatened flora in mountain areas and from the coast of Alicante. Medspai is attached to the Research Institute of the University of Alicante Ibero-American Center for Biodiversity (CIBIO) where he has collaborated on R + D + I projects on the link between plant formations and saproxylic insects in Mediterranean forests and on biodiversity in the national park of Cabañeros.

He has collaborated and has been IP in non-competitive R + D + I projects with the Administration or private entities to carry out environmental assessment studies prior to the execution of the planning.

Therefore, his research lines are fundamentally linked to Biogeography: characterization, evaluation and distribution of formations and plant species of interest for their conservation and protection with the support of TIG tools.

His teaching work is wide and varied: bachelor's degrees, degrees, masters, doctorates, CEFIRE courses.
