Javier Ortiz Zamora is a Doctor and Full Professor at the University of Alicante, in the Department of Physics, Systems Engineering and Signal Theory, belonging to the Higher Polytechnic School of Alicante. He teaches Network subjects (teaching in Spanish and English) in the Degree in Sound and Image in Telecommunications and Digital Postproduction.
His alma mater is the University of Alicante and his work has always focused on the world of image, colorimetry, brandemia and Search Engine Optimization (SEO of websites and videos). He has also trained at IORTV (Radio Telecvisión Española) for the transmission of audiovisual content on IP networks, streaming and digital post-production.
His experience in SEO, web designer and domains management has led him to collaborate with large audiovisual companies such as Gestevisión - Telecinco (currently Mediaset España). As an expert in auditing and web analytics, he has been requested on multiple occasions to improve, change the image and modernize different institutional websites, achieving, for most of them, their leading positioning in Google.
His skill in using different graphic design tools has allowed him to teach numerous Photoshop courses for the training of teachers at the University of Alicante (Institute of Education Sciences), as well as in different workshops of the Secretariat of Culture and in Continua (current Permanent Training Center).
Javier Ortiz has designed the corporate image of more than 10 local and national brands, including several notable units of the University of Alicante.
As a teacher of Digital Postproduction, he teaches students the value of visual creativity and introduction of VFX in audiovisual creation for film and TV.
In relation to his contribution to IP broadcasting, his collaboration in the development of the free software "EBULIST v2.0" of the European Broadcasting Union (UER-EBU) stands out.
Currently, his commitment to accessibility and his skill in using Vualà2, the content manager used by the University for its websites, has made him popular in the institution as one of the best web creators at the UA, being the designer and webmaster technician of big educational centers of the University of Alicante such as the Polytechnic School College, as well as the Relations with Society Unit of the Rector's Office, or consolidated research groups such as the GHPO (Holography and Optical Processing Group), led by Augusto Beléndez Vázquez.
