Javier Ortiz Zamora is a Doctor and Professor at the University of Alicante, in the Department of Physics, Systems Engineering and Signal Theory, belonging to the Higher Polytechnic School of Alicante. He teaches Network subjects (teaching in Spanish and English) in the Degree in Sound and Image in Telecommunications, Digital Postproduction (for Film and TV) in the Degree in Multimedia Engineering, as well as in the development of software for mobile devices. His alma mater is the University of Alicante and his research has always focused on the world of image, colorimetry, networks and especially on the transmission of audiovisual content on IP networks.

His experience in SEO, Web creation and domain management has led him to collaborate with large audiovisual companies such as Gestevisión - Telecinco (currently Mediaset España). As an expert in Web auditing and analytics, he has been required on multiple occasions for the improvement, image change and modernization of different institutional websites, achieving, for most of them, their leading position in Google.

His management and skill in handling different graphic design tools has allowed him to teach numerous Photoshop courses for teacher training at the University of Alicante (Institute of Educational Sciences), as well as in different workshops of the Secretariat of Culture and in Keep going.

Javier Ortiz has designed the corporate image of more than 20 local and national brands, including several of the University of Alicante's own bodies. His passion for the educational institution in which he was trained has led him to always carry out all his collaborations in a totally altruistic way, which has been publicly appreciated as an admirable and exciting gesture by University directors.

As a professor of Digital Postproduction, he teaches students the value of visual creativity and the introduction of VFX in audiovisual creation for TV advertising.

He currently focuses his research on Live IPTV, collaborating in the creation of the free software "EBULIST v2.0" and the preparation of technical materials for the development and implementation of this technology in the European Broadcasting Union (UER-EBU).
