María Núñez-Romero is a teacher and researcher at the Department of Applied Economic Analysis of the University of Alicante (UA) and Director of the UA University Campus in Xixona. As well as a member of the Interuniversity Research Institute of International Economics (IEI) and the Economics of Innovation and Artificial Intelligence Research Group (ECO-IA).
The author has focused her research work on the study of cooperation between agents of the innovative system as a driver of regional development. Their work is framed within regional innovation systems, strategies for local development and the role of local industry in economic growth.
She has participated in research projects, both competitive European, national and regional, and in collaboration with institutions and companies. She has developed her research in national stays at the Complutense University of Madrid and international stays at the University of Beira Interior (Portugal).
