María J. Nueda finished the Statistics degree in 1993, Administration and Business Management degree in 1998 and a Master in Auditing in 1996, at Alicante University.
She was working from 1997 to 2000 as Auditor assistant and Senior in a multinational company of consulting and auditing in Alicante. She registered as a non-practising member of the ROAC in 2002, after passing the professional aptitude examination of the Instituto de “Censores Jurados de Cuentas de España”, convened in Ministerial Order 11 May 2001.
In 1999 she began as Associate professor in the University of Alicante and she left the private sector in 2000 to work full time in the Statistics and Operation Research department.
She obtained her Diploma in Research Methods (PhD program in Applied Statistics) with the title “Statistical methods applied in transcriptomics. Review of the state of the art and open research lines”, in the Politechnical University of Valencia, in 2004. She became doctor in Statistics with the doctoral thesis “Statistical methods for time course microarray data”, in 2009.
