Luis Moreno-Izquierdo is full professor at the University of Alicante (Department of Applied Economic Analysis) and Director of the Economics of Innovation and Artificial Intelligence Research Group (ECO-IA).
Since the publication of his doctoral thesis, he has specialized in the analysis of the Economics of Innovation and digital transformation. He has published numerous scientific papers and book chapters in the most prestigious journals and editorials, applying his knowledge on the tourism sector, transport, education or macroeconomics and geopolitics. Among his outstanding works is the book "Europe vs USA and China. How to reverse decline in the age of artificial intelligence".
He has participated in dozens of research projects, both competitive at European, national and regional level, and in collaboration with institutions and companies. Among them, the direction of the open education project of the University of Alicante "UniMOOC", under the patronage of Google and Banco Santander, which exceeded 500,000 registered users from more than one hundred countries, stands out.
