She is currently a senior lecturer at the Department of Catalan Studies at the University of Alicante.
S. Montserrat is a member of the Interuniversity Institute for Valencian Studies (IIFV). Moreover, she is a full member of the Institute for Catalan Studies (Philological Section, 2020) and an academician of the Valencian Academy of Language (2021).
S. Montserrat has taught subjects such as Resources for the Knowledge and Use of Catalan; Semantics and Lexicology; Syntax; Terminology and Specialised Languages; Fundamentals of the Catalan Language Standard (Faculty of Arts, UA); Oral and Written Expression; Catalan Elocution and Orthoepy; Catalan Language (Faculty of Education, UA). Besides participating in doctoral courses and university Master’s degrees, she has taught subjects such as Linguistic Corpora of Romance Languages and New Technologies in Language and Literary Education, among others, both at the UA and at other universities (UV, Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg, Szegedi Tudományegyetem in Hungary).
S. Montserrat is a member of the Social Council of Languages, as well as an active member of various cultural associations in support of culture and language in the south of the Valencian Country: El Tempir (Elx), El Sud Trenca el Silenci (Oriola) and Institut d’Estudis Comarcals (Baix Vinalopó).
