Antonio Jimeno earned his former second-cycle undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering (specialisation in Physical Systems) in 1993 from the Polytechnic University of Valencia. In 1994, he did his final-year project at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL - Lausanne, Switzerland). In 1995, he joined the research team at INESCOP’s (Spanish Technological Institute for Footwear and Related Areas) CAD/CAM Department. In 1997, he became an associate lecturer at the University of Alicante, at the Department of IT and Computing. He earned his PhD in Computer Engineering from this university in 2003. After 17 years as a senior university lecturer at the aforementioned Department, he was appointed as UA professor of Architecture and Computer Technology.
