Envejecimiento, salud y cuidados en la Migración Internacional de Retiro a la Costa Blanca (Alicante) whose main axis of analysis is the interaction between migration, health and ageing. I have received the Extraordinary Undergraduate Award (UMH) and PhD (URV). In 2013 I received the First Marqués de Lozoya Cultural Research Award from the Ministry of Culture for the work Cartografía de una aspiración. Ageing, health and care in migration to the Costa Blanca. I have carried out research stays at the Amsterdam School for Social Science Research (ASSR) (University of Amsterdam), the Sheffield Institute for Studies on Ageing (SISA) (University of Sheffield) and the Department of Anthropology (University of Berkeley). Currently, I am part of the Department of Contemporary Humanities, where I teach and research in the area of Social Anthropology in degrees such as International Relations, Social Work and Tourism. As a teacher, I have coordinated and participated in different pedagogical innovation projects, some of which have won awards.In the last decade, my initial lines of research on migration, ageing, health and care have been extended to different fields of medical anthropology such as body practices and policies, the convergence between health and education, citizen participation in health, and mental health; from approaches such as feminist theory, STS (Science, Technology and Society) and Science, Technology and Gender (STG) studies. I belong to the Red de Investigación Docente en Antropología Sociocultural (RIDAS), as well as to the Asociación Valenciana de Antropología (AVA), the Instituto Universitario de Investigación de Estudios de Género (IUIEG) and the Instituto Universitario de Investigaciones Turísticas (IUIEG).
