Doctor in Chemistry by the University of Alicante (1995), he held a postdoctoral position at Cornell University (USA) during 1996 and 1997, under the supervision of Professor H.D. Abruña. He returned to Spain, as assistant professor in the department of Physical Chemistry in the University of Alicante. He became Associate Professor in 2000 and full professor 2009. He has a wide educational experience in all the university levels. Author of more than 230 scientific publications in the field of Electrochemistry. He has also participated in the organization of international congresses and has been a member of the editorial committees of the journals "Electrochimica Acta", "Electrocatalysis" and "ChemPhysChem". He has received the CIDETEC 2010 prize for scientific research.
