Senior lecturer in the Department of Communication and Social Psychology at the University of Alicante, with three 5-year teaching activity periods and two 6-year research activity periods completed. She is a lecturer on the Undergraduate Degree in Advertising and Public Relations, on the subjects “Deontology of Advertising and Public Relations” and “Information Management in Communication”. She also teaches the subject “Legal Framework, Self-Regulation and Professional Ethics in Digital Communication” on the Master's Degree in Digital Communication.

Member of the University Institute of Gender Studies Research (IUIEG) at the Universidad de Alicante, member of the Gender Research Group (IG), and member of the Communication and Knowledge Society (COSOCO) research group.

Her main lines of research include issues such as gender and advertising, gender and professional acculturation in advertising studies, ethics in discourse and in the advertising system, and professional deontology in the field of scientific communication.

She has led and participated in competitive research projects related to the link between sexist advertising and the sexual composition of creative departments, the employment structure of the advertising sector with a gender focus, the construction of sexual identity and the management of gender inequalities on social media. She is currently directing the research projects “Training in Gender Competencies for the Deconstruction of Sexism in the Advertising Profession: Progress and Resistance in the Spanish University System” (MICINN, PID2022-138329NB-I00) and “Gender, Teaching and Knowledge Transfer in Advertising Studies in the Valencia Region” (GVA, CIAICO/2022/112).

She has been a member of the teaching innovation network “University, Teaching, Gender and Equality” and has led several research teams specialising in university teaching and the implementation of teaching with a gender perspective, the study of female role models in advertising, professional ethics, gender and professional acculturation in different subjects of the Undergraduate Degree in Advertising and Public Relations.

She has completed a postdoctoral research stay (José Castillejo programme) at the Università degli Studi di Bologna and has been a visiting lecturer at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano

She has been secretary of the Department of Communication and Social Psychology (2016-2017), academic secretary (2019-2023) and, since 2023, director of the University Institute of Gender Studies Research (IUIEG) at the University of Alicante. Associate editor (2019-2023) and, since 2023, director of the journal Feminismo/s.
