First-Cycle Undergraduate Degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics (2007) and Master’s Degree in Clinical and Community Nutrition from the University of Alicante (2012). PhD in Nutrition (cum laude) after completing the Programme in Clinical Medicine (2016) at the Miguel Hernández University. PhD thesis titled Influencia de variables ambientales en el sobrepeso y obesidad infantil [Influence of environmental variables on childhood overweight and obesity].
For years she has worked as a clinical dietician-nutritionist at centres for the individualised treatment of obesity and other chronic diseases. She equally took part in the 2010 campaign “Para una alimentación sana, 4 raciones por semana” [To eat healthy, 4 servings per week], a public health programme aimed at promoting healthy eating habits among children that was funded by the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment and its Fund for the Regulation and Planning of the Fisheries and Aquaculture Product Market.
A lecturer at the University of Alicante’s Department of Nursing since 2016, she currently serves as Department Secretary. Moreover, she has participated in teaching innovation projects at various universities and made contributions to conferences and events on teaching.
She can speak Catalan (C1 and Teaching Competence Certificate with Catalan as the medium of instruction), English (B2) and French (language immersion course).
