Mariano González Chouciño has a graduate in Sociology from the University of Alicante (Extraordinary Prize and Academic Excellence Award from university students from the Generalitat Valenciana, Spain), a Diploma in Local Development and Territorial Innovation from the same university (Extraordinary Prize) and a Diploma in Management Research and Knowledge Transfer by the Polytechnic University of Valencia. He currently works as a predoctoral researcher through the Own Program of the Vice-Rectorate for Research and Knowledge Transfer of the University of Alicante (2018).
His activity as a sociologist begins in the Department of Sociology I with the granting of a Collaboration Grant from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports (Spain) during the 2016-2017 academic year, participating in research, congresses and other activities related to the department. During 2019 he enjoyed a professional scholarship at the "Instituto Valenciano de la Juventud" (IVAJ), working in the implementation of the Valencian Youth Observatory as a body dedicated to obtaining data on youth for the support of public policies.
Currently, he develops his doctoral thesis under the direction of Professor Raúl Ruiz Callado in the line of research in population and social change, being part of the Doctoral Program in Business, Economics and Society of the Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences of the University of Alicante .
