Eric Dubon holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Murcia (2015), awarded with the distinction of Summa Cum Laude (“Sobresaliente Cum Laude”) by unanimous decision.
He obtained the Diploma de Estudios Avanzados (D.E.A.) in Mathematics from the University of Alicante with the highest grade (Sobresaliente).
He also earned both the D.E.A. and the Master’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Montpellier II (2001), for which he was granted a predoctoral fellowship from the French Ministry of Education.
His degree was officially recognized (homologado) by the Spanish Ministry of Education, and since 2009 he has held the Spanish Licenciatura in Mathematics.
His Master 1 dissertation focused on Probability Theory (“On the Local Convergence of Submartingales”), while his Master 2 dissertation addressed topics in Algebraic Geometry (“On the Existence of Moduli Spaces of Fiber Bundles”).
In his doctoral thesis, he studied the zeros of almost-periodic functions such as the partial sums of the Riemann zeta function and Dirichlet polynomials. His research involved areas including arithmetic (completely multiplicative functions, Dirichlet characters), complex analysis, fractal strings, and differential equations.
He defended his doctoral dissertation within the Mathematics Department’s Ph.D. program at the University of Murcia, which was recognized with the Excellence Mention by the Spanish Ministry of Education. He is the author of several research articles, which have been cited in leading international journals.
From September 2004 to August 2025, he served as a full-time Mathematics teacher at the Lycée Français d’Alicante “Pierre Deschamps.”
From January 2018 to August 2025, he was an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Alicante.
Since September 2025, he has held the position of Profesor Ayudante Doctor (Assistant Professor) in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Alicante.
From 2012 to 2022, he was a member of the research group “α-Dense Curves: Analysis and Local Geometry” (VIGROB-027) at the University of Alicante.
Since 2024, he has been a member of the “Mathematical Analysis Group” (VIGROB-361) at the same university.
Since 2016, he has also been part of the university’s mathematical outreach group Dimates.
In recognition of his collaboration with the French Embassy in Spain and his work on the equivalence of French and Spanish academic degrees, he was awarded the title of Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Palmes Académiques by the French Ministry of Education.
