Born in Bilbao, he studied in that city and later in Madrid where he graduated and received a doctorate from the Complutense University.

Professor at the School of Social Work of the UCM (later Faculty) since 1995. He was also  professor at the University Alfonso X el Sabio between 1996-2003, being coordinator of the area of ¿¿sociology.

He was subdirector in the UCM of Studies , Quality and innovation, vice-dean of the same content, secretary of the Faculty and later Dean of that  Faculty.

He has participated in several European projects related to immigration and e-learning.

He works in the area of ¿¿social policy, youth, e-learning and migration, with various impact publications in relation to these issues.
