With a PhD in English Philology, I am a lecturer in English for Specific Purposes, Specialised Translation and Didactics in the Department of English Philology at the University of Alicante.
I currently teach on the Bachelor's Degree in Tourism and on the Master's Degree in English and Spanish for Specific Purposes. I also tutor final degree/master's degree projects in English Studies, Translation and Interpreting and Tourism/TADE, where I act, in the latter, as line coordinator.
As a researcher, I am involved in several translation projects of health and quality of life questionnaires with the Departments of Health Psychology and Health Sciences at the University of Alicante, as well as in other national and European research projects on medical lexicography and specialised language teaching, among others. I also participate in research projects with the Inter-University Institute of Applied Modern Languages (IULMA) and in teaching innovation networks.
I have also collaborated in the academic committee of the Bachelor's Degree in English Studies as the person in charge of the subject of External Practices and I have held the position of Academic Secretary (2013-2016) and Deputy Director (2016-2019) of the Department of English Philology at the University of Alicante. At present, I am Academic Secretary of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities.
