Ramon E. Canovas was born in Aspe (Alicante) in 1961, he is a journalist, teacher and screenwriter.
He is currently developing his professional work as a Philosophy teacher in secondary and high school. In addition, he is an associate professor at the University of Alicante, in the Department of Communication and Social Psychology.
He is also a scriptwriter, mainly of audiovisual documentaries, such as "Azorín. The image and the word", broadcast on La 2 of TVE, or "The cathedral of the six strings", about the classical guitar.
Graduated in Philosophy and Letters, Geography and History section, from the University of Alicante, his professional work as a journalist has been exercised mainly in Channel 9-RTVV, from 1990 until its closure on November 29, 2013. Previously, he collaborated in the creation of the radio station Radio Aspe and in the newspapers Elche, Información and El País, and also worked in one of the first local televisions in Spain, Tele-Elx. He was also a correspondent for Ràdio 9 in Elche from 1989 to 1990.
For two years he made journalism compatible with teaching, being a professor of Valencian Linguistics at the Institute of Educational Sciences of the University of Alicante.
He has the Certificate of Pedagogical Aptitude from the Institute of Education Sciences of the University of Alicante that enables him to teach.
He is in possession of the C2 Valencian certificate and the Valencian Master's Diploma from the Valencian Government's Department of Culture for teaching in Valencian / Catalan.
Ramon is registered in the Professional Registry of Journalists of the Federation of Associations of Journalists of Spain (FAPE) with the number 17,838 and has been an associate professor at the Miguel Hernández University of Elche, in the degrees of Journalism and Audiovisual Communication.
In 2013 he completed the Executive Master in Community Management and Social Media Management in Business at the University of Alicante.
