Senior lecturer at the University of Alicante’s Department of Communication and Social Psychology, with a six-year research activity period recognised by the Spanish Committee for Research Activity Assessment (CNEAI). Second-cycle undergraduate degree in Media Studies (Advertising and Public Relations) from the Complutense University of Madrid. PhD in Sociology from the University of Alicante (2009). 14th Blas Infante Award (2010) for Studies and Research on Public Administration and Management, from the Andalusian Institute for Public Administration (IAAP), for the monograph Comunicación Pública y Gestión Estratégica Municipal. Un estudio exploratorio sobre la agenda temática (‘Public communication and strategic municipal management. An exploratory study on the thematic agenda’). Expert course in Protocol and Institutional Relations from the Miguel Hernández University of Elche and the International School of Protocol. She has worked for several public and private organisations, including Elche City Council, where she was Head of Protocol and Institutional Relations at the Mayor’s Office. A guest speaker at many national and international conferences, Concepción Campillo has also taken part in several organising and scientific committees. She has published a wide range of academic articles in journals listed in WoS (JCR) and Scopus (SJR), among other academic and scientific databases. Her main lines of research are concerned with public and institutional communication, integrated communication strategy, experiential marketing and creative and innovative event management.
