Computer Engineer and Doctor from the University of Alicante in 2011 and 2016, respectively. He was the beneficiary of a grant from the University Teacher Training (FPU) program of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport between 2013 and 2017. During this period, he carried out predoctoral stays in Malaga, Nantes, Vienna, Valencia and Montreal. He worked as a postdoctoral researcher at McGill University in Montreal, for one year, and at the Technical University of Valencia, with a Juan de la Cierva - Formación grant from the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness, for 8 months.

In November 2018 he joined the University of Alicante as Assistant Professor. In September 2022 he was promoted to Associate Professor.

He has been awarded the national prize "Research Awards of the Spanish Computer-Science Society (SCIE) - BBVA Foundation 2018" in the category "Young Researchers", with the "Secondary AERFAI prize for the best doctoral thesis 2015-2016" by the Spanish Association for Pattern Recognition and Image Analysis, as well as the "Extraordinary Award in Computer Engineering" and "Extraordinary Doctorate Award" from the University of Alicante.
