Ignacio Aracil Sáez has a degree in Chemical Engineering (2002) and a PhD from the University of Alicante (2008). Since 2005 he is teaching in the Department of Chemical Engineering of the University of Alicante, being a Senior Lecturer in that department since 2017.
He has taught in the studies of Chemical Engineer, Degree in Chemical Engineering and Master in Chemical Engineering. Currently, he is Head of Studies in the Degree of Chemical Engineering, Secretary of the Institute of Chemical Process Engineering and Secretary of the Doctoral Program in Chemical Engineering.
Member of the research group "Waste, Energy, Environment and Nanotechnology" (REMAN) (http://web.ua.es/reman/), he has conducted research stays at the University of Dayton (USA, 2004) and the University of Umeå (Sweden, 2004). His research is carried out in the area of waste-to-energy and material recovery of various types of waste and in the application of iron nanoparticles in the treatment of wastewater.
