Sandra Abad-Bataller holds a PhD with an International Doctorate distinction and is an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of English Studies at the University of Alicante, Spain. She holds a BA in English Studies and a Master’s Degree in English and Spanish for Specific Purposes.

Her career combines research and teaching, with a particular focus on the critical integration of emerging technologies into the teaching of English as a Foreign Language and English for Specific Purposes (ESP). Her international academic experience includes research and teaching stays in the Czech Republic and Poland, which have strengthened the intercultural dimension of her professional profile.

She has presented her work at international conferences, including TESOL, CILIDI, GLOTECH, liLETRAd, AESLA and H-INET, and has served on several scientific and organising committees. She has also contributed to nationally funded research projects.

Her publications include a book chapter published by Peter Lang, while a forthcoming monograph is due to be published by Comares. She is currently a member of the Digital Language Learning (DL2) research group at the University of Alicante, where she contributes to projects related to teaching innovation and the assessment of technology-mediated learning.
