Assistant Professor of Public International Law and International Relations at the University of Alicante (accredited as Associate Professor)

PhD in Law with an international distinction and cum laude honors. She has been an Interim Substitute Professor at the University of Huelva and a tutor at UNED in Private International Law. Currently, she is a research team member in the project "Transnational Corporations and Due Diligence in Human Rights and the Environment: EU Regulations and Compliance in Spain, 2024/00880/001." She is also a researcher in the Comparative Analysis on International Migration and Displacement in the Americas project (CAMINAR: https://en.caminaramericas.org/), as part of the Peru team, and in the (IN)MOVILIDADES EN LAS AMÉRICAS project.

In 2019, she received the Rosario Valpuesta International Research Award for an adaptation of her Master's Thesis, "Violence Against Women and Refuge: A Study on the Granting of Refugee Status from a Gender Perspective." In 2020, she was awarded the University of Seville Prize for the best Master's Thesis on gender equality.

She has published extensively in areas such as gender and International Law, asylum law and refugee rights, the Common European Asylum System, migrant participation in state institutions, and human rights protection mechanisms.

She has conducted predoctoral and postdoctoral research stays at prestigious institutions, including the Centre for Social Studies at the University of Coimbra (Portugal), the Institute of European Law at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland), the Institute of Democracy and Human Rights at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, and the University of Malta. Additionally, she has completed national research stays at the Research Center on Contemporary Thought and Innovation for Social Development (COIDESO) at the University of Huelva and the University Institute for Research on Gender and Equality at the University of Málaga (IGIUMA).

She has been invited as a speaker at numerous conferences and has presented research at both national and international academic events. She is currently a member of the Spanish Association of Professors of International Law and International Relations (AEPDIRI) and coordinates the Feminism and International Law group within the European Society of International Law (ESIL). Additionally, she is a member of the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF) Spain section.
