  • Doctor en Matemáticas
    Universidad de Murcia (06/05/2011)
  • Licenciado en Ciencias y Técnicas Estadísticas
Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche (17/11/2009)
  • Máster en Matemática Avanzada

I got my degree in Mathematics from the University of Alicante in 2005, and the degree in Statistics from the University Miguel Hernandez of Elche in 2009. I earned both my M.Sc. in 2007 and Ph.D. in optimization in 2011 at the University of Murcia (Spain). After working as a visiting assistant professor for one year at hte Public University of Navarre (Pamplona, Spain), I became a postdoctoral research associate at the School of Mathematics and Statistics of the University of New South Wales (Sydney, Australia) under the direction of Prof. V. Jeyakumar. Later, in September 2013, I came back to Spain where I held a position at the Carlos III University of Madrid. In October 2015 I joined the Department of Economic Analysis of the University of Alicante, and in September 2019, I moved to the Department of Mathematics at the same university. Currently, I am an Associate Professor there and I lead, joint with my colleague A. Hantoute, the project entitled "Structural Variational Analysis and Optimization: Theory and Algorithms", which has been granted by the Generalitat Valenciana (AICO/2021/165). My research interests focus on (but are not limited to) Convex Analysis, Uncertainty in Optimization, Linear Algebra, and Variational Analysis.
