Victoria Tur-Viñes holds an Undergraduate Degree in Psychology and a PhD in Sociology, and she is currently a senior lecturer in the Department of Communication and Social Psychology of the University of Alicante. In the past, she was a Senior Advertising Producer at Publiespaña (Grupo Fininvest). She is a senior lecturer at the Undergraduate Degree in Advertising and Public Relations, more specifically in the field of Advertising Cretaivity. She has written numerous scientific papers and two books: Comunicación publicitaria de juguetes en televisión (2004), and Marketing Infantil (2008). She is the Principal Investigator within two research groups: Communication and Childhood, and Research and Communication for Specific Audiences. She is a founding member of the Spanish Association for Research on Communication (Asociación Española de Investigación de la Comunicación, AE+IC). She is also the vice president of the International Association for Research on Childhood, Youth, and Communication (Kids&Com). She is a founding member of the Latin Society for Social Communication (Sociedad Latina de Comunicación Social) and Plataforma Latina de Revistas de Comunicación (the Latin Platform of Communication Journals). She is a member of European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA), the Editor-in-Chief of Mediterranean Journal of Communication (Revista Mediterránea de Comunicación), an honorary member of the Latin American Network of Publicity Researchers (RELAIP) and a founding member of Social Sciencies Journals Observatory (Observatorio de Revistas Científicas de CC. Sociales). XIV Hermes Award (2017) awarded by ATR-CV (ICMedia) to the teaching and the research trajectory in defense of Responsible Communication.

Her main lines of research are Scientific Communication,  Advertising Creativity, and Communication targeted to Childhood.
