Lucía Sevilla Requena is an Associate Lecturer in the Department of English Philology at the University of Alicante. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English Studies and a Master’s Degree in English and Spanish for Specific Purposes, which was awarded the Special Master's Award. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science at the same university.

Her research focuses on corpus quality, data curation, and computational linguistics, with a particular interest in developing methodologies that ensure the reliability and representativeness of linguistic data used in the creation and evaluation of language models. She has presented her work at national and international conferences such as AESLA, SEPLN, and RANLP.

She is currently a member of the Language Processing and Information Systems Research Group (GPLSI) at the University of Alicante, where she collaborates on projects aimed at developing open and transparent language models that promote the use of Spanish and co-official languages in the field of Artificial Intelligence.
