Senior lecturer in Spanish at the Department of Spanish Studies of the University of Alicante. In her PhD she carried out a study on phraseology in dictionaries which culminated with the book Fraseología del español en los diccionarios bilingües español-catalán: aplicaciones y contrastes and the PhD Special Award. Master's Degree in Terminology (Applied Linguistics Institute, IULA, Pompeu Fabra University). In addition to participating in the compilation and analysis of two corpora of Spanish —ALCORE and COVJA—, currently integrated in the corpus of the Spanish Royal Academy of Language (RAE), she has publications on a variety of aspects related to the study of lexicon, among which her book La enseñanza del léxico en el aula de español como lengua extranjera. Recently, her research interest is focused on the study of specialised languages, terminology and neology in Spanish. In this area she is the director and a co-author of Diccionario del turrón y otros dulces (español, catalán, inglés, árabe, chino y ruso), Madrid: Editorial LID (2015).
Research lines: lexicology, monolingual and bilingual lexicography, both in its diachronic and synchronic aspects, specialised languages, terminology and neology.
