Elena Sánchez-López holds a degree in Translation and Interpreting (English), a Postgraduate degree in Translation and Proofreading (Spanish-English-Catalan), a Master’s Degree in Education and ICTs and a Ph. D in Interdisciplinary Philological Studies (Catalan Philology and related) from the University of Alicante. She received the PhD Extraordinary Award for her thesis on Ausias March’s Language. She is currently a Titular de Universidad (Associate Professor with tenure) in the Department of Catalan Studies at the University of Alicante, where she teaches Catalan Language and Translation (English-German-Catalan).

During her studies, she had the opportunity to go on two Erasmus exchanges:  in FU-Berlin and SDI-Munich.
