Javier Rodriguez-Juan is specialized in deep learning research, specifically in the fields of Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing. Recognized for his dedication and high standards in project execution, he focuses on transferring research into real products by creating innovative solutions based on cutting-edge technologies. He completed his Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering at the University of Alicante (2019-2023), during which he received seven honor rolls, was part of the High Academic Performance Group, and was nominated for the best Bachelor's thesis for his work "Indoor Risks Assessment Using Video Captioning." Subsequently, he completed his Master's in Artificial Intelligence at the same institution (2023-2024), achieving the second best academic record in his promotion and being nominated for one of the best Master's theses with his project "Leveraging Vision-language Models for Risks Assessment." He is currently a predoctoral researcher in the Department of Information Technology and Computing.

Throughout his career, he has received several recognitions, such as the University Teaching Training Scholarship (FPU 2024) granted by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, the extraordinary award for the best Bachelor's record (2023), and various scholarships for research initiation (2023) and departmental collaboration (2022). In addition, he has participated in projects funded by the European Commission, such as REMARKABLE (Rural Environmental Monitoring via ultra wide-ARea networKs And distriButed federated Learning) and CHANTWIN (Changing tourism: digital twin strategy for sustainable development of smart protected natural areas based on ecological indicators), and has numerous publications in international conferences (SOCO, IWINAC, and GoodIT) as well as in specialized journals like Neurocomputing (Q1), Sensors, and Electronics.
