Carla Palaci Jover is a Predoctoral Fellow at the University of Alicante, where she obtained a BA in English Studies, an MA in Advanced English Studies, and an MA in English Teacher Training. Her PhD project, funded by the Generalitat Valenciana, examines the persistence and transformation of the Puritan heritage in the poetry of eight National Youth Poet Laureates of the United States (2017-2024), exploring how this influence continues to shape contemporary American identity and cultural discourse. Her research interests include activist literature, ethnic studies, and spoken-word poetry, with a particular emphasis on poetry as a speech act and a form of cultural intervention in contemporary American society.
