Rafael Muñoz Guillena (Alicante, 1967).  Professor in the Department of Languages and Computer Systems of the Polytechnic School of the University of Alicante.

Since September 2022 he is Vice-President of the Spanish Society for Natural Language Processing.

Since January 2021 he is Secretary General of the Digital Intelligence Center of the UA (CENID) whose objective is to promote the processes of innovation and digital transformation of public administrations.

From February 2020 to December 2020 he is Vice Rector for Research and Knowledge Transfer at the University of Alicante. Among his competences he has worked in the promotion of knowledge transfer to society both in the form of scientific dissemination and in the form of contracts with companies or patent licensing. He has also collaborated in promoting the creation of technology-based companies and the development of the Alicante Science Park, among others.

From June 2012 to February 2020 he was vice-rector of Campus and Sustainability at the University of Alicante. Among his activities he has launched the Urbanization Project of the Science Park, has developed a model of spaces for their allocation according to criteria of rationalization and efficiency. It has modernized part of the campus air conditioning systems and has developed a set of specific classrooms for different degrees of the university that has allowed to bring the studies closer to the reality of professional activity.

From March 2005 to June 2012 he was director of the Secretariat of Internationalization of Research and Technology Transfer of the Vice-Rectorate for Research, Development and Innovation.
