Researcher in archaeology at the University of Alicante under the Juan de la Cierva Programme and associate researcher at Italy’s ISPC – Istituto di Scienze del Patrimonio Culturale, CNR. He completed his PhD at the University of Salamanca with a Special Award and an international PhD certification; his thesis, funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, was concerned with monetary circulation on the Iberian Peninsula between the 5th and 10th centuries. He has been a visiting researcher at the Istituto Italiano di Numismatica in Rome, the Università di Pisa, the Università di Siena, and the Sapienza Università di Roma, co-organising international scientific meetings on methodology and the analysis of numismatic material from archaeological interventions at EEHAR-CSIC and the École française de Rome.

He has taught university courses in archaeology and methodological training courses for doctoral programmes in Granada, Valladolid, and Cádiz, and has collaborated on educational innovation projects. A specialist in Roman, Late Antique, and Early Medieval archaeology and numismatics, he has participated in excavations in Spain and Italy, including Pompeii, Selinunte, Nemi, and Tiermes, among other sites.

He is currently involved in international projects such as PRAEDIA (Università di Pisa, IMT Lucca, and INGV), where he serves as an archaeologist and is responsible for the study of numismatic material, and Fasti Online, co-managing the indexing of archaeological interventions in Spain. He is a member of the scientific committee of “Workshop Internazionale di Numismatica” (a series of publications by the Università di Salerno) and the editorial team of the journal Bastetania, as well as scientific secretary and indexation coordinator of the journal FOLD&R. Fasti Online Documents & Research. Communication coordinator of the Fasti Online project (AIAC/ARIADNEplus, Horizon 2020) since 2014, and also for the Associazione Internazionale di Archeologia Classica since 2024, promoting scientific transfer and the dissemination of archaeological heritage at an international level.
