Agustín García-Ramos has a degree in Sociology from the University of Alicante, a Master's degree in Strategic Management of Information and Knowledge in Organizations from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (with an “Extraordinary Prize for the best academic record” and a “Prize for the best Final Master's Project”). He also holds an Executive Master's degree in Community Management and Social Network Management in Companies from the Fundación Empresa of the University of Alicante.
In recent years, he has participated in several research projects obtained in public calls and in teaching innovation projects related to the European Higher Education Area. He has also contributed to various scientific congresses and conferences.
Since 2016, he has published several reviews and articles in scientific journals and collaborated with various platforms dedicated to the evaluation of public policies from a gender perspective.
He is currently an associate professor in the Department of Sociology II at the University of Alicante, where he has taught different subjects in the degrees of Sociology and Social Work. He has also supervised some students’ degree dissertations (TFGs) and departmental scholarships.
His main fields of interest are economic and consumer sociology, big data and network analysis, as well as political and scientific communication.
