Bachelor in Civil Engineering, Master in Sustainable Management and Water Technologies, Master BIM Manager and PhD from the University of Alicante. Associate Professor in the Civil Engineering Department at the University of Alicante.The theme of my research has been fundamentally with multifunctional cementitious materials with carbonaceous additions (characterization, durability, modeling, applications in perception of deformation and damage, electromagnetic shielding, heating, etc.), although it is also among my interests the sustainability in the field of civil engineering and new technological applications in the AEC field. In August 2021 my participation in the European project MASTRO (INTELLIGENT BULK MATERIALS FOR SMART TRANSPORT INDUSTRIES) ended.I spent almost a year at the Eduardo Torroja Institute of Construction Sciences, in Madrid, dependent on the CSIC (Higher Center for Scientific Research).From 2011 to March 2022 I belonged to the research group "Durability of materials and constructions in engineering and architecture", at the University of Alicante. Since then I am Director of the Research Group "Advances in Building Information Modeling (BIM) for the digitalization of the AEC market (BIMAEC)".Until 2021 I have published about 23 articles in high impact journals (most of them Q1 or Q2) with more than 1000 citations and an h-Index of 15 (Scopus). I have gained recognition for two six-year international-quality research periods and I have directed two doctoral theses.I have worked in the private sector from 1995 to 2017.
