Jorge Francés was born in Alcoy (Spain) in 1982. Course in Technical Engineering in Telecommunications, specializing in Sound and Image at the University of Alicante (UA) in 2003. Next, he completed the Degree in Telecommunications in 2006, and the Master in Technologies, Networks and Communications Systems at the University Polytechnic of Valencia in 2009. In 2011 he completed his PhD studies at the University of Alicante. Since 2010 he is member of the Group of Holography and Optical Processing (GHOP) of the UA and is permanent Lecturer at the University since 2017. His scientific interests are focused on the following disciplines: holography, Spatial light modulators, optical image processing, optics diffractive, non-linear optics, propagation of sound and electromagnetic waves, numerical simulation and computational optimization. He has contributed to these different science fields previously mentioned with more than 45 publications indexed in the JCR, and more than 20 papers in prestigious congress proceedings (indexed in the JCR). Since 2017 he is treasurer of the Alicante Local Section of the Royal Spanish Physics Society (RSEF). Since 2020 Jorge Francés is the director of the Institute of Physics Applied to Sciences and Technologies of the UA, in which numerous groups are integrated research, including the GHPO.
