Nurse leader in digital transformation, with solid experience in clinical management, implementation of digital health projects, and care innovation. PhD in Nursing with specialized training in ICT, Public Health, and Health Services Management. My hybrid profile—clinical, managerial, academic, and research—has enabled me to translate scientific evidence and technology into real-world clinical practice through innovative, high-impact solutions.
Since 2021, I have served as Supervisor of Nursing Information Systems at the General University Hospital of Alicante (HGUA), leading strategic initiatives such as the implementation of the NEWS2 clinical deterioration early warning system, digital electrocardiography (ECGDIG-CV), and the CARECLINIC platform, a dashboard that monitors care quality and workload based on interoperable clinical data.
I specialize in translating research results into practical tools: clinical guidelines, standardized protocols, automated records, and clinical decision support systems integrated into the electronic health record (EHR). I have developed multiple hospital protocols in areas such as e-prescription, nutritional screening, and clinical risk assessment, directly contributing to improved patient safety.
In academia, I have been an Associate Lecturer at the University of Alicante since 2005. I coordinated the Nursing Practicum at HGUA for four years and have taught clinical and methodological courses in both the Nursing and Biomedical Engineering degrees. I have supervised over 40 undergraduate theses, many focused on applied technological solutions for healthcare settings.
As a researcher, I have led projects focused on clinical scale validation, dashboard development, and the evaluation of technology-supported care processes. I coordinated the “Care Innovation” research group at ISABIAL until its official recognition in 2024. I have also participated in multicenter studies such as NUTRIFAG, CHRONOHOSPI, and INCATIV, with results implemented in clinical practice and recognized with regional and national awards (CECOVA Research Award, Atenea Quality Award, Best Nursing Action in the Valencian Community).
I am the author of over 10 clinical protocols and digital training materials. I have trained thousands of healthcare professionals in the safe and efficient use of digital systems and coordinated an internal Moodle-based training platform on information systems for nurses, midwives, and physiotherapists, helping to build a strong network of digital competencies within my hospital.
My academic background includes a PhD in Nursing with honors (Cum Laude), a Master's in ICT, a Master's in Public Health, a Postgraduate Degree in Health Services Management, and official certification as a Specialist in Nursing Services Management.
