Laura Díaz Sanahuja is a Lecturer in the Department of Health Psychology (Personality, Assessment, and Psychological Treatment Area). She holds a PhD in Psychology from Universitat Jaume I (Castelló) with international recognition. Throughout her career, she has combined research with clinical training, focusing her work on improving the effectiveness of psychological interventions through the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). She is a general health psychologist, specializing in gambling disorders and the use of video games. She has collaborated on studies related to emotional disorders and anxiety, publishing articles in high-impact journals and developing programs like ‘SIN JUGAR, GANAS’ to treat pathological gambling. She has participated in various research projects and presented her work at international and national conferences. She completed a six-month research stay at the 'Vrije Universiteit' in Amsterdam (Netherlands), which allowed her to broaden her perspective and experience in the international field. Recently, she has started a new line of research focused on the families of individuals with psychological disorders. To this end, she has trained in the Family Connections program, aiming to design specific interventions for families of individuals with severe disorders (e.g., addictions). This new area of work strengthens her commitment to understanding and supporting family systems within the context of psychological disorders. Currently, she teaches in various undergraduate degree programs.
